Hippy Markets in Ibiza
Colourful, eccentric, bohemian. Just a few of the words that capture the very essence of Ibiza. And where better shop, eat and drink and soak up the ´real´ Ibiza vibe the vibrant and laid back vibe of Ibiza than at one of the many ‘Hippy Markets’ which are held regularly across the island. Here are a few of our favourites.
Las Dalias
The original and some would say the best of all the Ibiza hippy markets, Las Dalias has been going strong for over 60 years. From its humble beginnings with just a few stalls selling locally grown fruit and vegetables. The market has flourished and become a haven for those seeking a true taste of Ibiza. A treasure trove of artisan delights, selling everything from clothing, jewellery, arts and crafts and much more. You can enjoy lunch or dinner at the healthy juice stall, the world food market, or one of their two divine restaurants.

Night markets on Monday & Tuesdays May until October from 19:00- 1:00, also every Sunday in August 19:00- 1:00.
Sant Jordi
This eclectic market is something of a cross between a market and car boot sale. Located near Ibiza Airport, it’s the best for vintage glass and crockery, second-hand clothes stalls, original Ibiza art and the kitchen sink! There is an onsite café great for Jamon bocadillos and rich Spanish coffee.

Es Canar
Another old favourite based at Punta Arabi on the island’s east coast. Here you will discover a wealth of traveller’s collections of clothing, jewellery and homewares from around the world. As you enter the market – stop to admire the dozens of entertainers and mime artists who line the walkway to the main stalls, with their colourful costumes and captivating performances, you can stop to pose for a photo to commemorate your visit. The market also boasts onsite health food stalls and several bars.

San Juan Village Market
Held in the quaint village plaza of San Juan. Much of the focus is on fresh, organic food, and you will find many people selling their homemade jams and chutneys, along with a fabulous selection of fruit and vegetables, and even organic sugar free chocolate.
